Well, after watching one of my favorite episodes of scrubs (for all you scrubs fans it is the episode when JD and Elliot are going out for the first time and it ends badly) I saw a clip that really caused me to start thinking about relationships. ITS ONE MINUTE!) Basically, good ol’ Dr. Cox summizes (not sure if thats a word) by saying that relationships don’t work like they are portrayed. “Will they won’t they and then they finally do, gimme a break….Nine out of ten of them end because they weren’t right to begin with….” He goes on to say that the difference between a couple that is meant to be and that isn’t is that if a couple is truly right for each other, one of them will stand up and fight for the relationship everytime. Because every relationship has the same problems, it’s just that when a relationship is right, they have to be willing to fight for it. I really can’t stand when people say that relationships that are meant to be never have to fight through anything. We are motha fuckin human beings, as such we all have conflicts with each other. We don’t just have a “soulmate” that we automatically fall in love with right away and never fight with. We know we are truly meant to be with someone when we can fight and scream and bitch at them, but at the end of the day we are still happy to lay down next to them and we still can’t stand being without them and we always go back to them.
